Are your dice balanced?
Handmade resin dice are about as balanced as any average dice. The inclusions within the dice are so insignificant in weight that it will not affect the roll. That being said however, these dice are suited for casual play and will not suffice as replacements for casino dice.
Do you take commissions?
At this time I am not accepting commissions. I am not sure if or when I will offer commissions. Keep an eye on my Instagram (uncanny.dice) for any potential updates!
What's your return/refund policy?
Returns are handled on a case by case basis. I will not accept any returns or offer refunds regarding imperfections clearly stated on the product listing. If you find an issue with your dice when they arrive, contact me so we may work the problem out together!
What's your shipping/processing time?
Orders generally ship within 3-5 business days of being placed. Once they have been deposited at the post office, shipping times are out of my control and vary dependent on your location. International orders may take weeks to deliver due to customs.
What are your dice made out of?
My handmade dice are made out of epoxy resin and other inclusions that vary based upon design. My most commonly used components include: alcohol ink, mica powders, glitters, leafing foils, metallic flakes, flowers, and pigment pastes. As previously states, these materials do not affect the balance or weight of the dice.
My order has imperfections, what gives?
By nature of the handmade product, no set or individual die is completely flawless. All of my dice have been made with my own hands which leaves room for minor imperfections, including mold marks. Any significant flaws have been listed in the description of each listing.
Do I need to do anything to care for my dice?
Generally, no. Handmade dice are durable and meant to be rolled. That being said, if you wish to maintain a pristine quality, wipe your dice down with a microfiber cloth after using. Additionally, some resins can yellow due to exposure of UV rays (sunlight). The resins I use are specifically designed to combat this and should not yellow on you. Artisan dice is a relatively new field and it's hard to gauge how long that resistance will last. Expected to be at least a couple of years!
My dice were soft upon arrival, should I be concerned?
No, and yes! My dice ship from Las Vegas, Nevada which is in the middle of the desert. The heat and humidity during transit does temporarily soften the resin that dice are made of. When you receive your order, place your dice in a cool, open space and within a couple days your dice should be hard permanently. If you find that your dice (from myself or others) do not harden after some time, reach out to the maker, soft resin is not safe!
